On what was the first real Spring day of 2018 organic gardeners Magdalena and Adam were undertaking a brand new project for a new Earthcare Design client. They have been tasked with turning a long abandoned allotment into a thriving organic permaculture plot. Large trees were overhanging the plot which required removing to allow space for a new shed, greenhouse and compost bays to be constructed in the area. Transporting the foliage to a communal allotment dumping area. The allotment has a great community spirit with shared compost bays and free wood chip and leaf mould for mulching. After a hard days work, we can see some great progress. A few more sessions will be required to complete the overall clearance. We will keep you updated as to how the organic allotment project progresses. Post by Magdalena Bainbridge-Smith
