Commissioned by home-owners, architects and interior designers as well as property developers and commercial clients, Earthcare transforms gardens of all sizes into beautiful outside spaces.
We provide a tailor-made design service for your garden. This will include a full design and installation service quote. Our preference is to install our own designs as we feel confident we are able to realise your vision and brief fully. We can then also provide you with an on going maintenance plan and service. Initial ConsultationSee garden meet you and discuss requirements. We will then send you a quote for the design process up to first draft stage. At this stage it is useful to discuss your budget for the overall implementation in order to provide more comprehensive advice on the possible scope of the end result. It is also important to establish at an early stage whether any planning permission, advice or listed buildings consent is likely to be required. Design ConsultationIf you are happy with the design quote, we will arrange a time with you to meet for the design consultation. This is the moment for us to meet with you to get a more detailed sense of how you would like your garden to be. Some of our clients have quite a clear vision whereas others prefer to leave it up to us. Either way it’s useful to have some visual references of the sort of thing that appeals to you such as photographs from magazines, books or things you’ve found online . At this stage we can get a clearer idea of your requirements and can establish with you a budget that you’d like us to work to. The design consultation will form our design brief and we will send you a confirmation of what was discussed and ensure you are happy with it.

Site Survey, First Draft, Revisions and Final Draft
The Site Survey: We take photographs and measure up the site. Provided the area to be designed is fairly straightforward the site survey can be done by us, however on larger sites and those on various levels it is often necessary to have a professional survey. If this is the case we will advise you the cost of a topographic surveyor and arrange for this to be done.
The First Draft: The concept plan will be based on the previously discussed brief and will show the layout of the garden and positioning of the main features along with ideas for materials and planting. We will provide a to scale technical drawing, a plant list and mood board to illustrate our design. We will also provide a breakdown of costings according to your budget – this will include all landscaping, materials, implementation and project management. Once we've discussed the plan we can then make any changes you would like to see.
Revisions & Final Draft: We will then draw up the final draft. Usually there are only a few revisions to be made as the design will have been created to the brief we have previously discussed and agreed. If this is the case the final draft will be included in the initial design quote for design up to first draft stage. If there are any significant revisions to be made from the brief, we will advise you the cost to do this.

Design Development/Construction Drawings
If there are any detailed bespoke features such as a water feature or a garden building it may be necessary to do some technical research and create construction drawings. This will become evident following the design consultation and may require a separate quotation.
Project Management and implementation, Landscaping and Planting
When the design process is complete, we carry out a complete project management, implementation, landscaping and planting service. We will plan and co-ordinate all aspects of the design build and will liaise with you throughout.
Maintenance
We provide a complete maintenance service for the aftercare of your garden although you may wish to do this yourself. As part of our design package we can offer a maintenance schedule. We are also available for consultation throughout the year.
