Designing The Rose Garden
A walled garden set in a village location. The client’s brief was to create a Rose garden with a formal structure featuring vibrant warm colours. Using a geometric pattern, Roses together with a combination of architectural herbaceous perennials such as Delphiniums, Verbena bonariensis and Salvia sylvestris ‘Mainacht’ were juxtaposed within crossed swathes of Lavender. The Urn creates the central focus within a circle of Box hedging containing vibrant spires of herbaceous planting.
Designing The Jewel Garden
A series of four ornamental beds that form the main entrance to the house edged with Box hedging. A warm palette of vivid colour in the form of a choreographed combination of architectural herbaceous perennials and bulbs create an evolving impactful display. The Alliums in Spring give way to Echinacea and Echinops in early summer with Crocosmia and Dahlia’s such as the ‘David Howard’ and ‘Bishop of Llandaff’ lasting well into Autumn.
